Design options in Turbomaps are applied at the layer level. This means every object in a particular layer will share the same design.
Different layer types can be styled differently. See layer types for an overview.
The layer name can be added as text to point, line, or polygon layers.
Point layers display the layer name next to all points, unless names are set for individual points within the layer.
The font color, size, and weight can be adjusted. Font sizes remain constant at different zoom levels, but text may be auto positioned or hidden to prevent conflicts with other elements on your map.
The color can be adjusted for text, stroke, and fill of the various layer types. You can click the color swatch to bring up a color picker, or use a color hex code to input your own color.
Colors can also be semi-transparent, but may result in undesirable blending effects. You may want to use the opacity option for the entire layer instead.
All layers can have the overall opacity adjusted, or be hidden entirely. The opacity is applied to all the elements of the layer—any fill, text, or stroke applied will become semi transparent.
This is particularly useful for the basemap. You can reduce the opacity of your basemap layer to make your map elements stand out on top of the basemap labels and colors below.
There are several options for the underlying basemap style:
